Shreveport Police Department arrests suspect in November shots-fired incident

Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department reported that detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit arrested 18-year-old Rayvion Morris in connection with a shots-fired incident on November 20, 2025, near Jewella Avenue and 70th Street.

Investigators learned that Morris had been identified by a 911 caller as one of the individuals involved.

An arrest warrant was issued on charges including Illegal Use of a Weapon, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, and Criminal Damage to Property for damage at Red River Credit Union, 7070 Jewella Avenue.

Morris, who was on probation with Louisiana Probation & Parole, was taken into custody without incident with assistance from probation agents.

The Department emphasized that gun violence will not be tolerated in Shreveport and that individuals committing such crimes will be prosecuted.
