Shreveport, LA – A Shreveport man was arrested early Dec. 17, 2025, after police said a parking lot dispute escalated into an aggravated assault involving a firearm.
According to the Shreveport Police Department, officers were called just before sunrise to the area of Baird Road and Mansfield Road following a reported disturbance. Investigators said the victim told officers he had stepped away from work during a break to purchase cigarettes and food when another man became involved in an argument.
Police said the suspect allegedly turned toward the victim, produced a handgun, and threatened him. Fearing he was about to be shot, the victim left the area and contacted authorities. No injuries were reported.
Officers later located the suspect and conducted an investigation, during which a firearm was found hidden in the trunk of the suspect’s vehicle. Police said the suspect admitted he was angry over a personal matter at the time of the incident.
Donnell Gray was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
