Shreveport, LA – Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Patrol deputies responded to a report of a deceased individual found beneath a bridge on Ellerbe Road near Gayle Red Bluff Road on December 21 at approximately 3:15 p.m.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, two fishermen discovered the individual and contacted authorities. Deputies arrived at the scene and confirmed the presence of an adult. Caddo Parish Fire District 5 also responded and pronounced the individual deceased.
The identity of the deceased has not been released as officials work to notify next of kin. Authorities said the cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.
The incident is being investigated by Caddo Parish Sheriff’s investigators in coordination with the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office. The area surrounding the bridge was temporarily secured while a preliminary examination was conducted. The investigation remains active, and no additional details have been released.
