Missing elderly woman with Alzheimer’s reported in Shreveport

Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating an 86-year-old woman who was reported missing on Christmas Day.

Susie Stewart was last seen on December 25, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m. in the 1600 block of Hassett Avenue. Police said she was walking northbound on foot at the time.

Stewart is described as a Black female standing 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 105 pounds, with brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white and brown shirt, brown and multicolored tights, and was carrying a blanket and a handbag.

According to police, Stewart suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, conditions that may cause confusion or disorientation. Due to these medical concerns, authorities said there is significant concern for her safety.

Police are encouraging the public to share the information in an effort to help bring Stewart home safely.
