Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Fire Department expressed appreciation for the First Responder Support Team after volunteers provided breakfast to firefighters and other first responders who were on duty during the holiday.

According to the department, members of the First Responder Support Team dedicated their time to ensuring those working emergency shifts felt supported and recognized. Volunteers spent part of the day assisting first responders who were unable to be with their families while serving the community.

Fire department officials said the gesture reflected the strong relationship between first responders and community organizations that support them. The department noted that acts of generosity like this help boost morale and remind firefighters and other emergency personnel that their service is valued.

The Shreveport Fire Department thanked the volunteers for their continued commitment to supporting first responders throughout the year.
