Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department reminded fans of stadium policies ahead of next week’s Independence Bowl at Independence Stadium to ensure a safe and smooth game-day experience.
Officials outlined prohibited items, which include outside food and drinks, firearms, knives, video cameras, umbrellas, non-clear bags, laser pointers, and other items not meeting the Clear Bag Policy. Smoking and vaping are also prohibited inside the stadium.
Fans are encouraged to follow the Clear Bag Policy. Permitted bags include clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, one-gallon clear freezer bags, and small clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”. Medically necessary items will be allowed after inspection.
Gates will open two hours prior to kickoff to reduce entry lines, and fans are encouraged to arrive early. Tailgating is available in the White Lot northeast of the stadium, with parking fees varying by space and vehicle type. Reservations can be made through the State Fair Office at 318-635-1361.
Officials thanked fans for their cooperation and encouraged them to follow the guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable Independence Bowl week.
