Shreveport, LA – Shreveport police are searching for a man accused of attempting an armed robbery and committing felony theft during an encounter that began through a dating application.

According to the Shreveport Police Department, arrest warrants have been issued for Corey D. Clark, born October 4, 1983, in connection with an incident reported on December 24, 2025. Clark is wanted on charges of attempted armed robbery and theft between $750 and $5,000, both felonies under Louisiana law.

Police said officers responded around 7:20 p.m. to a reported armed robbery at a residence in the 7000 block of Fern Avenue. The victim told officers he had previously met Clark through the dating app Grindr and had allowed him into his home earlier that evening.

Once inside the residence, Clark allegedly produced a black-and-silver handgun, pointed it at the victim, and demanded large sums of money, according to investigators. Police said the victim reported that Clark threatened to shoot and kill him during the encounter. Clark also allegedly claimed that additional suspects were waiting outside in an attempt to intimidate the victim.

As the two individuals exited the residence, Clark is accused of taking the victim’s cellphone without permission before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Police said the victim was not physically injured during the incident.

During the investigation, detectives determined that the incident was not isolated. According to police, investigators confirmed prior occasions in which Clark allegedly unlawfully took money, identification, and credit cards from the same victim. Those findings were included in the case presented to obtain arrest warrants.

Clark is currently wanted on one count of attempted armed robbery and one count of felony theft. Police have not said whether Clark and the victim had met in person prior to the December 24 incident beyond what was reported in the complaint.

The Shreveport Police Department is asking anyone with information about Clark’s whereabouts to contact the department directly or reach out to Caddo Crime Stoppers. Authorities said tips can be provided anonymously.

Police also urged members of the public who use dating applications to take precautions when meeting someone for the first time. Officers recommend meeting in public places, choosing locations where other people are present, and informing a trusted person of the meeting location and plans.

The investigation remains active as detectives continue efforts to locate and arrest Clark.
