Shreveport, LA – The Caddo Parish Department of Animal Services and Mosquito Control is hosting a free drive-thru rabies vaccination and microchipping clinic to help protect the local pet population.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Summer Grove Baptist Church, located at 8924 Jewella Ave, Shreveport, LA 71118.

This clinic is available to pet owners who reside in Caddo Parish. The first 200 pet owners will receive free rabies vaccinations for their dogs, cats, and ferrets, as well as complimentary microchipping. The rabies shots provided will be one-year vaccinations.

Pet owners attending the clinic will also receive educational handouts on topics such as low-cost spay/neuter services and advice on mosquito and heartworm prevention. This initiative is part of a continued effort to ensure the health and safety of the area’s pet population.

In order to receive services, pet owners must be residents of Caddo Parish, and the clinic operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Caddo Parish Department of Animal Services and Mosquito Control encourages all local pet owners to take advantage of this opportunity to help protect their animals from rabies and ensure their pets’ safety with microchipping.
