Shreveport, LA – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office will welcome children and families to celebrate the holiday season with a festive open house event, “Welcome to Sheriff’s Candy Land.” The celebration is scheduled for December 1 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Avenue in Shreveport.

The event will feature activities designed to bring holiday cheer to attendees of all ages. Children can participate in decorating holiday-themed coloring sheets and writing letters to Santa with their Christmas wishes. Each child will also receive a goody bag containing treats and a schedule of holiday events planned at Safety Town throughout December.

Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr. expressed enthusiasm for the community gathering, stating, “We’re opening the doors of Safety Town for families to celebrate the spirit of the holidays together. This event is a wonderful opportunity to create memories and strengthen our community during this special season.”

The Sheriff’s Office encourages families to attend and enjoy this free event as a way to come together and share the joy of the holidays.
