Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced a traffic swap on U.S. 90 westbound, effective Sunday, January 5, 2025, through Monday, June 30, 2025.
The change will occur from just east of the La. 83 interchange near Baldwin to just west of the La. 318 interchange in St. Mary Parish.
During this period, westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and diverted to the inside lane of U.S. 90 eastbound. The westbound lanes will remain closed while paving operations and bridge repairs are underway.
The temporary lane setup on U.S. 90 eastbound will include an 11-foot lane for traffic in both directions, separated by concrete barriers. Oversized loads will be restricted to a maximum width of 14 feet.
Emergency vehicles will retain access to the area, though minor delays may occur.
DOTD urges motorists to drive cautiously through the construction zone, remain vigilant for work crews, and adhere to posted signs for everyone’s safety.
