K-9 Karo assists in apprehending fugitive at Shreveport residence, police officials say

Shreveport, LA – On January 30th, Shreveport Police Department (SPD) Violent Crimes detectives, with the help of federal agents, located Larry Lewis, who was wanted on a federal warrant.

Lewis barricaded himself inside a garage at 2619 Fulton Street, ignoring multiple commands to surrender.

After repeated warnings, K-9 Karo was deployed and quickly found Lewis hiding under a pile of debris.

He was safely taken into custody, and Shreveport Fire provided medical aid for minor injuries.

The successful operation highlights the critical role K-9 Karo and SPD officers play in maintaining community safety.
