Local resident found guilty in 2017 shooting death

Shreveport, LA – According to the court documents, his name is Johnathan Trayvon Kelly and he was found guilty on Friday of manslaughter.

Prosecutors say the 25-year-old defendant remained at-large for two years before being arrested in Georgia and extradited to Louisiana.

He was found guilty in the the Nov. 20, 2017 death of Marcus London. 

The victim was shot once in the head and once in the back.

He was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he died the next day. 

Johnathan Trayvon Kelly faces up to 40 years imprisonment without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
