Monroe, LA – According to the Monroe Police Department, his name is Jeremy James and he was taken into custody on Saturday.
The 33-year-old suspect is now charged with negligent homicide.
James was arrested in connection with hit-and-run accident on Standifer Street that killed 61-year-old Leroy Dorsey.
The hit-and-run accident occurred on Jan. 19, 2022.
The 33-year-old suspect man was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center.
