Shreveport, LA – Last week, Shreveport Police swiftly reacted to a theft report at a local drugstore on North Market Street. Officers arrived to find the suspect, later identified as 36-year-old Travis Sullivan, across the street at a gas station.

In a tense escalation, Sullivan poured gasoline on himself and the ground, igniting the fuel and attempting to harm officers by throwing gasoline at them.

Despite the dangerous situation, patrol officers managed to safely apprehend Sullivan without resorting to deadly force.

Sullivan faces multiple charges including two counts of battery on an officer, three counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, arson, and theft.

Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported during this hazardous incident.
