Shreveport fire department announces arrival of new fire trucks funded by 2021 bond

Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Fire Department announced the acquisition of three new fire trucks from Ferrara Fire Apparatus. These vehicles are set to be equipped and ready for service in the coming weeks.

This purchase marks the beginning of a broader plan, as the department prepares to add a total of 12 new fire trucks to its fleet.

Officials credited the 2021 General Obligation Bond, approved by the citizens of Shreveport, for making this essential upgrade possible.
