Shreveport, LA – According to the statement, the SPD is actively searching for Keith Mosley Jr., who is accused of firing shots at officers responding to reports of gunfire on Norton Street in the Mooretown neighborhood.
The incident occurred on October 9, just after 8:30 p.m., when patrol officers arrived in the 4400 block of Norton Street and were met with gunfire as they exited their vehicles. Fortunately, no officers were injured during the exchange.
A perimeter was quickly established, and a drone was deployed in an attempt to locate Mosley, but he evaded capture. Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit took over the case, and arrest warrants were secured for Mosley.
He is charged with one count of Attempted First Degree Murder and one count of Illegal Carrying and Discharge of a Weapon. His bond has been set at $1,000,000.
