The Caddo Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy will open its doors to the public for a rifle sighting event ahead of the upcoming hunting season

Shreveport, LA – Per reports, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office announced that the Caddo Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy will open its doors to the public for a rifle sighting event ahead of the upcoming hunting season.

The public sight-in day is scheduled for October 8, 2024, with time slots available for registration at 7:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. All activities will conclude by 4:30 p.m.

Participants will be provided with targets, and trained Caddo sheriff’s deputies will be available to assist.

Shooters are required to bring their own ammunition, as well as eye and ear protection, and ensure their weapons are unloaded upon arrival.

The Academy is located at 15639 Highway One South, next to Lock and Dam #5. To reserve a time slot, participants are asked to call Cpl. Trey King or Sr. Dep. Cory Bourn at 681-0735.
