The Shreveport Police Department welcomed 17 SPD cadets for their first day at the Police Academy

Shreveport, LA – According to the police officials, over the coming months, these men and women were set to be tested beyond their limits, with the goal of transforming them into officers ready to serve the city of Shreveport.

Chief Smith inaugurated the day with encouraging words and issued a challenge to each of these aspiring police officers: “Give the best that you can every day.”

His speech set the tone for the rigorous training and dedication expected of the cadets.

As the cadets embarked on this demanding journey, the department looked forward to shaping a new generation of officers committed to upholding the safety and well-being of the Shreveport community.
