Shreveport police seek suspect in stolen firearm case

Shreveport, LA – Shreveport Police Department announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for Karvasca Lewis, wanted for illegal possession of a stolen firearm and theft.

Police said a victim’s firearm was taken without permission on June 4, 2025, near Babylon and Gideon Streets.

Detectives traced the weapon to Discount Jewelry and Loan, where Lewis pawned it for $250 while falsely claiming ownership.

Pawn shop employees confirmed the transaction, and the shop owner is pressing charges.
