Caddo Parish, LA – According to the statement, the plan will provide a vision and framework for ensuring quality of life services, improved facilities, and park amenities for the next fifteen years.
Officials also said that the plan will utilize a system-wide approach to evaluating parks and open space recreational facilities, and amenities to develop goals, policies, and guidelines for more accessible and efficient use of park space.
Caddo Parks and Recreation director Patrick Wesley released the following statement:
“We are excited to begin the process and receive public input on the future of our park systems. Collaborating with SPAR to create a comprehensive plan will enhance the quality of our system and offerings to all citizens of Caddo Parish.”
Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins released the following statement:
“You can help define the future of your parks. Last summer we held a series of listening sessions to hear directly from citizens. One of the things we heard often was the desire to improve our parks and green spaces. Now, we need you to tell us how you want us to do that.”
The master plan is scheduled to be completed by the end of this calendar year. All meetings are free and open to the public.
