Shreveport, LA – SPD officials say the four-vehicle accident occurred around 10:51 a.m. Sunday morning.
It happened on Youree Drive.
Shreveport Police Department officer was reportedly responding to a report of a possible self-inflicted shooting.
The police vehicle reportedly used their lights and sirens.
The police vehicle turned east from Youree Drive onto East 70th street when it was struck by SUV heading north on Youree Drive.
Officials said the police vehicle then struck two other vehicles.
Six people suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
