Ascension Parish, LA – According to the Louisiana State Police, this unfortunate accident occurred right after 5 a.m. Thursday.
It happened on La. 44.
Louisiana State Police troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that the 56-year-old motorcyclist was traveling south on La. 44.
The man failed to stop and crashed into the rear of a GMC Sierra.
The 56-year-old motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Sierra was not injured, troopers said.
