One person is dead following collision involving a train and ATV on the track north of Stubbs-Vinson Road

Ouachita Parish, LA – According to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. Thursday.

It happened on the track north of Stubbs-Vinson Road.

Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash.

The responding deputies discovered that a Union Pacific train and an ATV collided at the location.

The rider of the ATV suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was later identified as Bryan Scott Abecrombie.

This incident remains under investigation.
