Shooting on West 70th Street leaves one injured, police say

Shreveport, LA – Shreveport Police Department officials said the shooting occurred right after 5 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

It happened on West 70th Street.

Shreveport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.

The responding officers discovered that a male driver was sitting in his car when three men approached him and accused him of burglary.

During the confrontation, one of the three men reportedly attempted to hit the driver.

The driver then shot one of the three men.

The injured man was taken to a hospital for treatment and the driver was taken into custody.

Their identities have not yet been released.
