The Parish of Caddo will initiate the closure of the Old Mooringsport-Latex Rd bridge near Dayton Rd to facilitate comprehensive construction work for its complete replacement starting Tuesday, May 21, 2024

Shreveport, LA – According to the officials, the Public Works Department will oversee the replacement project, which includes necessary road enhancements to optimize bridge utilization.

These enhancements are designed to guarantee longevity, safety, and improved access for motorists relying on the bridge.

Anticipated to span approximately 90 days, the replacement endeavor aims to minimize disruptions while ensuring the swift completion of essential infrastructure upgrades.

During this period, motorists are kindly requested to follow a designated detour route: Mooringsport-Latex Rd-LA HWY 169.

This detour has been established to facilitate smooth traffic flow and minimize inconvenience for commuters.
