U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy announced on Tuesday the U.S. Department of Transportation is granting $5 million to Louisiana

Shreveport, LA – According to the statement, this emergency grant will go towards fixing federal highways damaged by Hurricane Ida across the state.

Officials say that this funding comes hours after Cassidy secured a formal disaster relief request from the White House.
