Shreveport, LA – According to the Shreveport Police Department, the shooting occurred right before 7 p.m. Friday.
It happened at the intersection of Canal Blvd. and Lakehurst Ave.
Shreveport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found one female victim.
Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The extent of the victim’s injuries is unknown at this time.
It remains unclear whether the victim was shot there or drove at the location afterward, because witnesses told officers that they did not hear gunshots.
